Mladenov also appreciated Egypt's role in the reconciliation, adding that "enabling the government to perform in Gaza is an important step to lift the blockade."
Israel imposed a tight blockade on the Gaza Strip in 2007 and considered the coastal enclave a hostile entity right after Hamas militias violently seized control of the territory and routed Abbas security forces.
Mladenov announced that he will brief the leaders of the international community on all the practical developments on the ground after the consensus government starts acting.
The UN official highlighted the importance "in this crucial moment to get benefits out of Cairo reconciliation understandings cheap nike sb zoom blazer ," adding that all parties should take the opportunity to fix the 10-year internal division, which "damaged the Palestinian cause."
He also said it would "take time" to resolve the humanitarian crisis that Gaza has been passing through, referring mainly to the issue of the severe shortage of electricity.
Palestinian consensus government spokesman Yousef Al-Mahmoud declared earlier on Monday that the government will hold weekly cabinet meeting in Gaza city next Tuesday first time in two years.
